Privacy Policy

The short version

PartWise is designed so that we know as little about you as possible. Your evidence is encrypted on your device with a password only you know. We cannot read your evidence, your emails, or your documents. We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not share your information with anyone unless required by Australian law.

1. Who we are

PartWise is a product of Find Your Difference Pty Ltd (ABN 27 622 504 705), based in Sydney, Australia.

2. What we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider (Clerk). This is necessary to provide you with a secure account.

Payment information

If you purchase a plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number or bank account details.

Evidence and vault data

This is the most important section. Your evidence vault is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption with a password that only you know.

Usage data

We collect basic usage data to improve the product. We do not track the content of your evidence or emails.

3. Google Gmail data

PartWise requests read-only access to your Gmail account through Google OAuth 2.0 using the gmail.readonly scope. This section describes exactly how we handle your Gmail data.

What we access

When you choose to connect Gmail, PartWise reads your email messages to identify financial evidence, behavioural patterns, and custody-relevant information relevant to your separation. We only request read-only access. PartWise cannot send, delete, modify, or forward your emails.

How we process your emails

Your emails are fetched directly from Google to your browser using your personal access token. The email content is then sent to our AI analysis service (Anthropic Claude) for structured evidence extraction. The AI service does not store your email content and does not use it for model training. Only structured findings (summaries, key dates, amounts) are returned.

What we store

We do not store your raw emails. After analysis, only encrypted structured findings are saved to your local device vault. Raw email content is cleared from browser memory immediately after processing. We do not retain copies of your emails on our servers at any point.

Token handling

Your Google access token is held in browser memory only during the scan. It is never stored in cookies, local storage, or on our servers. The token is revoked with Google immediately after each scan completes, whether successful or not.

Revoking access

You can revoke PartWise's access to your Gmail at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. PartWise also automatically revokes the access token after every scan.

Compliance

PartWise's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How we use your information

We use your account information to provide the service, process payments, send service communications, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations. We never use your evidence content for any purpose — including training AI models.

5. Who we share your information with

We share limited information with: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (encrypted backup storage), Anthropic/Claude AI (evidence analysis — not stored or used for training), and Resend (email delivery). We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

6. Where your data is stored

Your evidence vault is stored on your device, encrypted. Cloud backups are stored in Australia (Sydney region) and we cannot decrypt them.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access your personal information, request corrections, request deletion, opt out of marketing, and lodge complaints with the OAIC. You can destroy your vault at any time from within the application.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication. No advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No Google Analytics.

9. Law enforcement and legal requests

If we receive a legally valid request for your data, we will comply with Australian law. However, the only data we can provide is account information (email, name, payment history). We cannot provide your evidence because it is encrypted with a key we do not possess. We will notify you of any request unless legally prohibited.

10. Children

PartWise is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or through the application.
